After extensive travelling and various attempts at desk work, the pursuit of the “American Dream” had lost its meaning. I was longing to be in better shape, and wanted to keep living the recreational lifestyle I had always enjoyed.

I discovered the incredible benefits of Bikram’s Yoga. I found that it eased the discomfort of sitting at a desk for work. Most surprising was how fit I was compared to my friends who were still living their days playing. I found myself waiting for them at the top of a long climb and then once more at the bottom, ready to go again, breathing easy with a grin from ear to ear, while they were gasping for air. The benefit I am most stoked about from my yoga practice is that I'm stronger and have more stamina than ever before.

I knew I wanted to practice yoga for the rest of my life and decided to become part of a yoga community. I went to teacher training not to become a teacher but to connect more deeply with something I felt had wholly influenced me, to build on the feeling of community I had experienced. The persistent desire to be part of spreading the yoga vibration has ultimately brought me here, now, operating a studio, raising a daughter, meeting lovely individuals everyday and living life’s dream, mastery.

A master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between
His work and his play.
His labour and his leisure.
His mind and his body.
His education and his recreation.
He hardly knows which is which.
He simply pursues his vision of excellence through whatever he is doing and leaves others to determine whether he is working or playing.
To himself he seems to be doing both.
